Sidmouth B Leaque Croquet team played their first match of the season against Budleigh, writes Colin Walls.
The teams consisted of four players and Sidmouth’s team had two new players to the scene of competitive croquet.
Andrew Thomas only joined the club last year and Sue Dent a couple of seasons ago. Andrew was Pamela Bowra’s partner in the doubles and won their match by three hoops and Sue won both her singles matches.
Both Sidmouth and Budleigh teams overall played very well, but Sidmouth turned out to be the better team and won by three matches to two.
