2025 New Members' Tournament

"Our final tournament of the season was for our New Members. 12 of them signed up for a friendly match of 4 rounds of Golf Croquet. Each round was only 20 minutes where they played with a different partner and normally against different opponents. Win or lose was immaterial - the number of hoops run in that time was recorded. It wasn't long before they appreciated the strategy of speed croquet. After 3 rounds, 4 of the players shared pole position so it was all to play for. In the final round Marcus Husbands (pictured third left) ran a hoop in the final seconds and became the outright winner with another 2 sharing second place. The winner received a bottle of wine; all players enjoyed a compensatory bar of chocolate.''
