The Sidmouth Croquet Club Open Day attracted approximately 30 prospective new members, writes Mike Taylor.
They were treated to short presentations by Elaine Woodward (chairman) and David Temple (secretary) before being let loose on the cricket outfield with all the mallets the club could muster. By the end of the morning, the vast majority had signed up for a series of six training sessions to take place during April.
